Summit’s catalog lists this fully dressed engine at 745 HP, while BluePrint’s own materials have shown up to 750 HP with this induction. The number that matters is on your engine’s dyno sheet — BluePrint runs every crate on its dyno and ships the documented results with it. Treat 745 HP as the guaranteed floor.

What flexplate or flywheel does it need?

Attention here — this trips many first-time 572 buyers. The engine uses a 1-piece rear main seal but requires an internally balanced 2-piece rear main seal flexplate, because of its larger 3.580″ crankshaft bolt pattern. Standard big block Chevy flexplates and balancers will not bolt on. Order the correct flexplate with the engine — we stock them.

Is a 1250 CFM carburetor too big for street use?

On a 9.4L engine, no — CFM scales with displacement. The 1250 Holley is correctly sized for 572 cubic inches, and BluePrint jets and calibrates it before crating. Street manners remain excellent thanks to the 10.0:1 compression and hydraulic roller cam.

Does the accessory drive include everything?

The polished (or black, on the CTCKB) front drive installs A/C compressor, power steering pump, alternator, water pump, belts and pulleys at the factory. You supply nothing drive-related except routing your own hoses and wiring to the alternator.

What’s the tall-deck fitment situation?

The block is approximately .400″ taller and wider than an OEM big block with .300″ raised exhaust ports, so most OEM headers won’t bolt up and shift linkage, steering shaft and hood clearance need checking.
