Core Returns — Get Your Deposit Back
Bought a remanufactured engine, transmission or turbo from us? Send back your old unit and we refund your core deposit — inspected, confirmed and paid within 14 days.
What Is a Core Charge?
Remanufactured powertrain parts are priced in two parts: the unit price and a refundable core deposit. The deposit is our way of getting your old engine or component back — because your old unit is the raw material for the next remanufactured build.
Return your old core in rebuildable condition within 60 days of delivery and the deposit comes back to you in full. It keeps quality cores in circulation, keeps reman prices down, and keeps scrap metal out of landfill. Everyone wins.
No core to return? You can simply keep the deposit on the invoice as a purchase — no return needed.
Example: Remanufactured V8
How a Core Return Works
Four steps, one refund. Here's the full journey of your old unit.
Request an RMA
Fill in the form below (or email us) with your order number. We issue a Return Merchandise Authorization within 1 business day.
Drain & Crate It
Drain all fluids, bolt the core onto a pallet or reuse the crate your new engine arrived in. Write your RMA number on the outside.
We Collect or You Ship
We arrange insured freight collection across the EU, or you ship to Haagweg 40, Kessel. Track it like any NH shipment.
Inspect & Refund
Our workshop inspects the core within 5 business days of arrival. Approved → full deposit refunded within 14 days.
What Condition Must the Core Be In?
A core doesn't need to run — it needs to be rebuildable. Here's the line we draw at inspection.
✅ We Accept
- Complete, assembled units — no missing major parts
- Same model/type as the unit you purchased
- Seized or non-running engines (that's fine — that's the point)
- Normal wear: worn bearings, tired rings, old gaskets
- Cracked heads or blocks if disclosed before shipping (partial credit possible)
- Drained of oil, coolant and fuel, capped/plugged ports
❌ We Can't Accept
- Incomplete or disassembled units (boxes of loose parts)
- Fire-damaged, flood-damaged or heavily corroded cores
- Blocks with windowed/cracked main webs or thrown rods through the block
- Wrong model or a different unit than purchased
- Units full of fluids — carriers refuse them, and leaking freight is returned at your cost
- Cores returned without an RMA number
Not sure if your core qualifies? Send us photos before you ship — [email protected] — and we'll confirm within one business day.

Shipping Your Core Back to Us
Cores are heavy freight — an engine block doesn't go in a parcel van. Here's how to get it to Kessel safely:
- 📦 Reuse the crate. Your new engine arrived in a purpose-built wooden crate — it's designed for the return trip too.
- 💧 Drain everything. Oil, coolant, fuel. Cap or plug all ports. Carriers reject leaking freight.
- 🏷️ RMA number on the outside. No RMA = no intake. Write it large, on two sides.
- 🚚 Collection available EU-wide. We book insured freight and email you the shipping label — cost depends on weight and distance, quoted upfront.
- 📍 Drop-off welcome. Prefer to drive it over? Haagweg 40, 5995 AB Kessel — Mon–Fri 08:00–18:00, Sat 09:00–14:00.
- 🔍 Track it. Once collected, your core return is trackable on our tracking page.

Core Return FAQ
60 days from the delivery date of your new unit. After 60 days the deposit converts to a purchase and can no longer be refunded. Need more time? Contact us before the deadline — we're reasonable.
Your core is inspected within 5 business days of arriving at our Kessel workshop. If approved, the full deposit is refunded to your original payment method within 14 days. You'll get an email at both milestones: inspection result and refund issued.
Yes — that's completely normal. Cores are raw material for remanufacturing, so non-running and seized engines are expected. What matters is that the unit is complete, the right model, and not destroyed (e.g., a rod through the block). When in doubt, email photos first.
We tell you exactly why, with photos from the inspection bench. You then choose: we return the core to you (freight at cost), we scrap it responsibly at no charge, or — where possible — we offer partial credit. A rejected core never just disappears.
Return freight is arranged by us and quoted upfront based on weight and distance — you approve the cost before anything is booked. Drop-off at our Kessel workshop is always free, and yes, the coffee is still on us.
Nothing to do — the deposit simply stays on the invoice as part of the purchase price. Many first-time buyers go this route. You can also sell us a rebuildable core later; contact us for a valuation.
