Common Questions
Yes — intermittent faults are our specialty, but they take patience. We log data over time, wiggle-test harnesses under load, and use thermal and vibration tricks to provoke the fault. Tell us every detail about when it happens: weather, temperature, bumps, load. The pattern is usually the answer.
Happily — points ignition, generators, 6-volt systems, 50-year-old wiring: the scope works on all of it. Classics often have the most "characterful" electrical systems, and we've seen every creative repair previous owners ever attempted.
Both. From connector replacement to full harness sections — soldered, heat-shrunk, sealed and loomed. For race cars and swaps we build complete custom harnesses with proper motorsport wire and sealed connectors.
Most faults are found within the first hour. Genuinely intermittent problems can take longer — we'll always call you when the initial session is done and agree next steps before continuing. No open-ended bills.
Sometimes — a "misfire" can be a tuning issue rather than a hardware fault. That's an advantage of having diagnostics and the dyno cell under one roof: we test both directions and charge you only for the one that's actually broken.
